Exporting your Operations rate books doesn't just have to be for the purpose of using this import. It is also a good way to quickly get an overview of the rates applied in all your operations, a CSV file is a lot easier to filter and sort through!
To export your rates book:
After exporting your selected Operation Rates Books, you can edit your CSV file to update the figures on your platform.
Some key reasons why you would want to use this export are:
- Quickly update the Charge Rates for each Operation - Labour hire platforms only.
- Bulk update the rates for specific positions.
Please Note: This import will not allow you to update your WIC codes or add any additional positions to the rates books.
Before you start editing your CSV, please consider the following tips to make this process smoother for you.
-
Filter the CSV file. If you're making changes where the same rate will be used for more than 1 position, filtering is going to save you a massive amount of time.
In the below example, we have filtered based on the position name (level 1 positions) and also based on the rate label (normal). We can then update all the rates for these positions together.
- Make a backup of your export. If you keep a copy of the original export, should you make any errors in the update, rectifying the issue is going to be a relatively simple task.
After having made the changes to your rates book CSV, you are ready to reimport the CSV file. This will be done in a different area of the platform to where you exported them from.
